Unlike the RS7, which ABT Sportsline began selling last year with up to 700 horsepower, the RS5 has no powertrain updates of any kind, so you’ll have to make do with the 450 horsepower and 430Nm of torque from the stock 4.2-liter V-8 which to be honest, is pretty exhilarating for a convertible!
ABT’s convertible does however have a stainless-steel muffler system with both a mid and a rear muffler. If you like, ABT can also remove the speed limiter on the car, increasing the top speed to 180 mph from the stock 174 mph.
The drop-top is fitted with a new set of 20-inch alloy wheels which are available with various different finishes; wheel spacers are part of the package too.
You can also get a suspension kit to lower the ride height by up to 40 mm.
The convertible’s looks are enhanced with ABT’s fender inserts, which add a bit more aggression.
The exhaust system, which attaches straight to the catalytic convertors, uses a duo of pipes and mufflers to produce a bad-ass growl from behind the car.
Optional offerings include a lighted ABT logo, a floor mat kit, and a speed limiter override to help you reach 180 mph.
